Covid-19 & CDC Best Practices
American Home Renewal is monitoring the effects of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the health concerns facing our greater community. As a result, we have adjusted our operations with regard to meeting your window, door and siding replacement needs.
Windows, doors and siding are critical components of your home. Many of our jobs are related to security, safety, or potential structural damage, such as windows that don’t lock or close and walls that leak or have damage due to exposure. State and local regulations in your area define these repairs as essential services, and we are here ready to help.
We have taken numerous steps to do our part in helping limit the spread of the virus. We remain open where possible to provide homeowners with products and services that contribute to the safety, security, and health of their homes and families.
For homeowners in areas where in-home consultations and installations are still permissible, and who would like to keep their scheduled design consultations and installation appointments, we are following CDC guidelines for businesses. This includes revamped health precaution policies for one-on-one interactions, such as:
- Practicing social distancing and limiting contact (including handshakes)
- Washing and sanitizing hands frequently
- Sanitizing equipment and vehicles regularly
- Wearing cloth face coverings and gloves
- Limiting the crew size and number of installers in your home
- Minimizing the amount of in-home work time
- Keeping work areas separate from the rest of your home with plastic sheeting when appropriate
Of course, if you need to postpone your appointment until a later date because you or someone in your household is ill, or simply because you are not comfortable meeting with us at this time, we understand.
For your convenience, we now offer virtual consultations so you can meet digitally with your design specialist and review your remodeling needs. This service is available in most markets, but is especially important for our homeowners in areas where state or local directives have mandated a pause to in-person operations.
These virtual appointments allow us to meet with you and review your replacement needs through a video consultation. That way, no homeowner having safety, sanitation, security, or performance issues with their windows or siding will have to forgo needed service, repairs or replacement.
Ultimately, it is you, our homeowners, who have the final say in how and when we work with you. Your comfort level inviting us into your homes—whether it is in-person or virtually—is paramount. As always, we are honored and humbled by your invitation, and we look forward to helping you with your home improvement projects, both now focusing on your window, door and siding safety, security and performance needs, and in the future.
We will continue to monitor this situation and adjust as necessary to provide the safest possible outcomes for our homeowners and team members.
