We Only Sell Energy-Efficient Patio Doors
Every patio door we sell easily passes the Energy Star standard plus the optional low-emissivity (low-e) coating which reflects infrared (invisible and hot) rays while allowing visible light to pass through the glass. This coating is ideal for the volatile Bay Area climate. In the summer your home does not draw as much heat inside and in the winter it helps prevent heat from passing from the inside to the outside.
By choosing American Home Renewal for your next patio door or sliding glass door replacement you also get our Satisfaction First Guarantee, so you are sure to be happy with your new patio doo.

Corte Madera Customer Reviews
“AHR did a great job replacing my doors and windows. They were exceptionally helpful and patient working through approvals for my condo’s HOA and didn’t apply any of the traditional sales tactics to force a decision before I was ready. Chris and Sean were great throughout the actual install process–answering questions, providing updates, and even going above and beyond to fix things and ensure perfect alignment. Big thanks to the entire team, and I would certainly recommend!” Dom C., Corte Madera, California
“Great pricing, communication, and install. The windows themselves had some fit and finish issues, but AHR helped me get Milgard service out for it and now everything looks great!” Jamie G., Corte Madera, California
Fun Facts About Corte Madera, California
- Corte Madera, California, is a town of approximately 10,000 people, neighboring Larkspur, Mill Valley, and Tiburon.
- “Corte Madera” comes from Spanish with the meaning “cut wood,” a nod to it’s origin as a place where redwoods were logged in the early 1800s to supply lumber for the Presidio of San Francisco
- The North Pacific Coast Railroad came through Corte Madera in the 1870s, and the village grew around the train station near what is today Menke Park and the Old Corte Madera Square.
- Much of Southern Marin, including Corte Madera, was a summer retreat for San Franciscans until the 1906 earthquake caused many to settle permanently. The town incorporated in 1916.
- On Redwood Avenue you can find a redwood in the middle of the street with the pavement simply going around it.
- Corte Madera is roughly four square miles, and a substantial part of it is bay, marsh, and lagoon. Some neighborhoods were built on filled marsh and have slowly sunk over the decades, now sitting at or below high-tide levels behind levees.
- Ring mountain is unusual. On it you can find a rare lily, petroglyphs, and a ridge made of serpentine and other rocks pulled up from deep inside a subduction zone. Geologists come from around the world to study it and boulderers love two areas, Turtle Rock and Split Rock, which have some of the best bay views in Marin.
